orta dünya'dan bir karakter. şahsi fikrimce, tolkien'in yarattığı en müthiş karakter ve hikayesi (bkz: hurin'in çocukları) de merhumun yazdığı en iyi hikaye.

asıl adı túrin'dir. "turambar" ismini daha sonra kendisi almıştır ki bu isim "kadersizliğin efendisi, kadersizliğin kölesi" gibi anlamlara sahiptir. ayrıca neithan (haksızlık edilmiş), agarwaen (kanlekeli), ormanların yabanisi, gorthol (korkutucu miğfer), mormegil (kara kılıç), glaurung'un felaketi, adanedhel (elfinsan) isimleriyle de anılır*.

hikayesi uzun ve acıklıdır, anlatmakla bitmek. ancak babasını anmadan geçmek olmaz. babası hurin, kötülüğün ağababası morgoth'a doğrudan kafa tutmayı başarmış nadir insanlardan biridir. hurin'in soyu turin'le birlikte tükenmiş olsa da, kardeşi huor'un soyu tuor'la devam etmiştir. burada önemli nokta, elwing'in tuor'un kızı olmasıdır (ki elwing ve(gbkz: eärendil) de elros ve elrond'un ebeveynidir ki onların soyu da ohoo maşallahtır).

irlandalı doom/death metal grubu mourning beloveth'in 2020 çıkışlı, please don't walk on the mass graves split'indeki şarkıların ilki. genel tarzlarının aksine tamamen clean vokalli ama her zamanki gibi vurucu, hisli ve etkileyici bir şarkı.
